AYLESBURY 5 A SIDE END OF THE SEASON ROUND UP

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR CHAMPIONS 

WATERMEAD FC

The Aylesbury Thursday Football League wrapped up its thrilling season with an action-packed final week of matches. With strong performances from all teams, we were treated to an exhilarating display of talent and skill.

PREMIER LEAGUE RESULTS

In the Premier League, Serious FC clashed with Bowsers Barhmi Army in a high-scoring encounter. Bowsers Barhmi Army proved too strong for Serious FC, ultimately securing a convincing 7-3 victory. However, the week's standout performance came from Aaron Hussain of Brown Team, who netted an impressive six goals to propel his team to a resounding 9-4 triumph against Wesford FC.

Meanwhile, in a match that showcased sheer dominance, Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels exhibited exceptional teamwork and precision to overpower Fuji Fan Club with a remarkable 13-3 scoreline. FC Dynamo and The House FC also engaged in a spirited battle, with The House FC emerging triumphant with an 11-4 win.

New champions Watermead FC demonstrated their prowess and determination in a flawless performance against Earth Wind And Maguire, blanking their opponents with a commanding 10-0 victory. The standout player of the week was undoubtedly Kieran Best of Watermead FC, whose exceptional skills and contributions earned him the title of Most Valued Player.

As the season came to a close, the Premier League winners were confirmed. Watermead FC emerged as the champions of the Premier League, amassing an impressive 17 points and securing eight wins throughout the season and remaining unbeaten, winning the title on goal difference from Skrtels. Their consistent performances and strong team chemistry were instrumental in their success as well as boasting one of the joint Golden Boot winners in Kieran Best. Well done to Matt Gomm of Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels who also scored 23 goals to jointly win the Golden Boot, on top of that he was also named Most Valuable Player in the league this season with 5 awards as Skrtels finished as runners up.
