Axminster Wednesday 6 a side end of season!

AXMINSTER WEDNESDAY 6 A SIDE END OF SEASON ROUND UP

It was the end of the season at our Axminster Wednesday 6 a side league last night with all teams in attendance for the final round of matches. Big thank you to all our players and captains this season and of course Lance and his team of referee's Simon, Dan, Nat and Jason along with a couple of others that have covered for us. Congratulations to all our champions and Golden Boot winners, here's a look at the results and final tables from each division:

PREMIER LEAGUE

Uplyme & Sinker defended their title this season despite a final day 4-3 loss to runners up Farmers Weekly, congratulations to Sinker on another successful season, looking forward to Farmers challenging them again next season. Crouch Potato's were also only four points adrift in third as they rounded off their season with a 4-2 win over Lionel Moosey. The other Prem game saw Quaresma Balls win 3-1 at Portsmuff. Brad Conway was on the scoresheet twice last night for Uplyme & Sinker as he sealed the Golden Boot with 17 for the season.

DIVISION ONE

Ed Parr and Adam Zebedee both banged hat-tricks as Div 1 champions Staro FC finished their season with a resounding 9-1 win away at The Roy's. They finished two points ahead of runners up Nice To Michu who ended their season with a 4-1 victory against 6-A-Cider. The other Div 1 game saw A&C Dads defeat Vikings 4-2, Matt Hall with a hat-trick in this one. Well done to Staro's Tyler Allen who secured the Div 1 Golden Boot with 11 goals.
