The second week of the Axminster Wednesday Football League saw scintillating action across both the Premier League and Division 1, with teams battling hard for every point.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, Ansu Fatties faced a tough defeat at the hands of Perrys Disabled with a final score line of 3-1. In what turned out to be a high-stakes encounter, Perrys Disabled proved their mettle on the field, demonstrating sublime skill and tactical acumen.
Meanwhile, Vikings FC locked horns with Uplyme & Sinker in an electrifying match, which ended 4-2 in favour of Uplyme & Sinker. The star of the night was Baz from Uplyme & Sinker, who netted two goals to claim the title of top scorer in the Premier League this week. His offensive prowess on the pitch was a sight to behold for football fans.
DIVISION ONE
Over in Division 1, 6 Recievers demonstrated a masterclass in attacking football, defeating Diabetico Madrid with an impressive 6-1 victory. The standout performance of the match came from D Driver, who scored two stellar goals for 6 Recievers, making him the top scorer in Division 1 this week.
Anchors Away and Farmers Weekly played out an evenly contested 2-2 draw, showcasing the competitive spirit and balance within the league. The Roy's and Queens Park Strangers also played a closely contested match, ending 2-1 in favour of the Strangers.
This week's games have undoubtedly set the pace for the remainder of the season, with players and teams showing their hunger for success. Football fans eagerly await the next round of the Axminster Wednesday Football League, where top scorers Baz and D Driver will look to continue their impressive form.
