Axminster Wednesday 6 a side news New Season Kicks Off

Axminster, UK - Local football enthusiasts were treated to an exciting start to the inaugural season of the much-anticipated Axminster Wednesday 6-a-side Football League. The matches, which went down last night, featured spirited competition from teams in the Premier League and Division 1.


Premier League 
In the Premier League, fans were treated to a thrilling standoff between Vikings FC and Ansu Fatties, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Elsewhere on the pitch, CUFC outscored Uplyme & Sinker 4-2. The night climaxed with an intense encounter between Perrys Disabled and Nice To Michu, with Perrys Disabled emerging victorious with a 4-2 win. Uplyme & Sinker's Baz led the Premier League in scoring, netting two impressive goals to start the season.

Division 1
Meanwhile, in Division 1, The Roy's faced a tough matchup against Anchors Away, losing 4-2. The Deans and Farmers Weekly battled hard but ultimately, the match ended in a 2-2 draw. In the final game of the night, Sigmas United bested Queens Park Strangers 5-3 in a goal-drenched contest. Stephen Exall of Queens Park Strangers was the standout player in Division 1, starting the season off strong with two goals.

As the season has just begun, the teams are gearing up for more exciting match-ups in the coming weeks. Players are eagerly anticipating the next set of games, promising another action-packed night of local football. The league will undoubtedly continue to deliver nail-biting matches as the teams vie for dominance in their respective divisions
