In an exciting week of football, the Axminster Wednesday 6-a-side league brought plenty of thrills, goals, and drama. All eyes were on the Premier League and Division 1 as they played out their fifth week of the season.
Premier League
In the Premier League, Sigmas United outperformed Ansu Fatties in a high-scoring clash, ending with a resounding 7-4 victory. The game was particularly noteworthy for the top scorer in the Premier League, William Hellier of Ansu Fatties, who despite their team's loss, managed to put away an impressive three goals.
Meanwhile, Uplyme & Sinker's excellent form continued as they confidently dispatched Perrys Disabled with a clean 5-0 scoreline. Vikings FC also demonstrated their strength with a 4-1 victory over Nice To Michu. This week's results have further intensified the battle for supremacy in the Premier League.
Division 1
Switching over to Division 1, the competition was just as fierce. 6 Recievers narrowly defeated Farmers Weekly with a 2-1 victory, while Diabetico Madrid had a commanding 5-1 win against Queens Park Strangers. But it was The Roy's who stole the show, with a dominant 5-1 victory against Anchors Away.
Leading from the front for The Roy's was Ross Broome, the top scorer in Division 1, who showcased his goal-scoring prowess by netting three goals. His exceptional performance has played a pivotal role in propelling The Roy's to the top of the table.
