Axminster Wednesday 6 a side news Week 7

The seventh week of the Axminster Wednesday 6-a-side football league saw some thrilling matches across the divisions, with the Premier League and Division 1 teams delivering an unforgettable showcase of local football.

Premier League
In the Premier League, CUFC clinched a narrow victory against the 6 Receivers with a final score of 2-1, in what proved to be a gripping encounter. On another pitch, Vikings FC showed their dominance against Nice To Michu with a convincing 4-1 win. But the match that truly stole the show was Perrys Disabled against Uplyme & Sinker, with Perrys Disabled outplaying their opponents in a high scoring 5-2 victory. Will Board from Perrys Disabled was the Premier League's standout performer, netting a hat-trick and taking his tally to the top of the division's scoring charts.

Division 1
Meanwhile, in Division 1, the competition was equally intense. Farmers Weekly and Anchors Away ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw, while The Roy's comprehensively defeated Queens Park Strangers 9-2. The day concluded with The Deans narrowly edging out Sigmas United 2-1. James Gould of The Roy's was the star of Division 1 this week, finding the net five times in a sensational performance.

This week's matches in the Axminster Wednesday league demonstrated the depth and breadth of local football talent. The top scorers from both divisions, Will Board from the Premier League and James Gould from Division 1, showed exceptional skill and determination, setting the pace for the rest of the season.

Next week's fixtures promise to deliver more of the same intense rivalry and skilled play. Whether you're a seasoned player or a newcomer to the league, there's no denying the exciting football on display in Axminster every Wednesday.
