New Axminster Wednesday 6 a side season gets underway!

In an exciting start to the Axminster Wednesday 6-a-side Football League, teams in both the Premier League and Division 1 divisions kicked off their seasons with thrilling matches and outstanding individual performances.

PREMIER LEAGUE

Starting the season with a bang in the Premier League, Ansu Fatties claimed victory with a 1-0 win over Vikings FC in a tightly contested match. The game was characterized by a strong defence and a single goal that stood as the decider.

Also in the Premier League, Uplyme & Sinker were the clear winners of the night, defeating Nice To Michu with a 5-0 scoreline. This impressive victory sets a high bar for the rest of the season.

However, the highlight of the Premier League's opening night was the high-scoring affair between Sigmas United and Perrys Disabled, ending with an 8-3 win in favour of Perrys Disabled. The star of the match was Tom Boyland, who netted an impressive 4 goals for his team, making him the top scorer of the division.

DIVISION ONE

Over in Division 1, the first week of action saw The Roy's and 6 Recievers in an enthralling contest that ended 8-4 in favour of the 6 Recievers. Joel Francis was particularly impressive, scoring 3 goals for the 6 Recievers and securing his spot as the top scorer of Division 1.

In another Division 1 match, Anchors Away sailed to a 5-1 victory over Queens Park Strangers, starting their campaign in emphatic fashion. Meanwhile, Farmers Weekly and Diabetico Madrid battled to a 3-3 draw, setting the stage for a competitive season ahead in Division 1.

With the season just kicking off, there's still everything to play for in both divisions. Fans can look forward to more thrilling action, impressive goals, and intense competition in the weeks to come.
