STARO FC CHAMPIONS OF AXMINSTER

The final whistle of the Axminster Wednesday Football League's 18th week brought an end to a rollercoaster season of the Premier League division. It was a week of intense sporting action that saw Staro FC emerge as the undisputed champions, clinching the Premier League title with an impressive 28 points and 14 wins.

Staro FC closed out the league in style with a dominating 9-3 victory over The Roy's with Tyler Allen, once again proved his mettle, contributing a stunning 3 goals to Staro FC’s victory, taking his season tally to 29

The division's concluding week also witnessed some other high-octane clashes, such as the match between CUFC and Foxes, with CUFC claiming victory with an assertive 8-2 score line to confirm their place as runners up in what has been another incredible title battle. Lionel Moosey FC triumphed over Vikings FC in another hotly contested match, ending with a 5-3 win for the former champions.

The duel between Uplyme & Sinker and Nice To Michu was a nail-biter, with Uplyme & Sinker edging out their rivals with a 3-2 win.

The 18-week long league has been a showcase of extraordinary talent, breathtaking goals, and heart-stopping moments that we will all cherish for a long time. As we wrap up the exciting season, we extend our hearty congratulations to Staro FC on their well-deserved victory in the Premier League division.

The individual prize for the leagues top scorer goes to Jake Davies of CUFC who claims the golden boot for his 37 goals, well clear of the chasing pack that included Tyler Allen (29) and Galvin Herrod (24). Congratulations to Jake on a fantastic season in front of goal.  

Finally it's a huge thank you to Lance and his team of dedicated refs, without whom the league just wouldn't operate. On behalf of the league and it's players, thank you for your efforts each week.
