Bicester Wednesday 5 a side news 2026-08-12

As the fifth week of the Bicester Wednesday Football League came to a close and the halfway point of the season we had two great games.

PREMIER LEAGUE

The most exciting match in the Premier League was undoubtedly between Five-a-Trackside and Yeah Safe. The superb team play by Yeah Safe resulted in a staggering 16-4 victory over Five-a-Trackside. Leading the charge for Yeah Safe was the formidable Charlie McCloskey, who single-handedly netted 11 goals, marking him as the top scorer of the division for this week. McCloskey's performance was nothing short of exceptional, displaying his scoring prowess and cementing his place at the helm of the league's goal scorers.

Another thrilling encounter saw Flying Without Ings take on Hardly Athletic. It was a match that demanded the best from both teams, and they certainly delivered. However, it was ultimately Flying Without Ings who came out on top, securing a solid 6-2 win over their rivals. Their victory was a testament to their strategic game-play and the players' incredible individual performances.

The Bicester Wednesday Football League, now halfway through the season, continues to provide an excellent platform for local teams to showcase their talent. The Premier League division, in particular, has seen some brilliant performances and the competition is only getting fiercer as the weeks go by. We eagerly await the next week's matches, anticipating more exciting football action and exceptional individual performances.
