After a thrilling series of matches on the eighth week of the Chesterfield Sunday Football League, the competition in Divisions 1, 2, 3, and 4 continues to heat up with only two weeks left in the season.

In Division 1, Whingerworth put up a valiant fight, but ultimately fell short to Matip Is In with a score of 3-4. The prowess of IMX FC was on full display as they trounced LADZIO with a striking 7-1 victory, showcasing their scoring abilities and leaving no doubt about their dominance in the division.

Division 2 saw Pathetic Athletic secure a solid 3-0 victory over 90+ Shave & Haircut. Inter McCann made a powerful statement by blanking Dahmers Men 6-0, while Athletico Biffin narrowly missed out against S40 Rifles in a high-scoring bout, finishing 5-6.

In Division 3, “Norfolk & Good” were anything but, sealing a 5-0 win against Walking Football FC. A close match between Xavi Dodgers and Park Road Fc ended 2-3, while 360 No Pope celebrated a 4-0 triumph over Dyslexia United.

Brexit Birdholme edged out Somersall All Stars 1-0 in the Division 4 games, and The Jerry Hat-Tricks came out on top against Parking The Bus FC with a score of 4-2. Matip Stinks snatched a 3-0 win against Brexit Or Exit, adding another feather to their cap.

This week's top scorers continue to impress, with IMX FC of Division 1, Inter McCann of Division 2, “Norfolk & Good” of Division 3 and The Jerry Hat-Tricks of Division 4 leading the way.

With only two weeks remaining, teams are encouraged to secure their place for the next season. The competition promises to be even more intense as teams vie for the top spots in their respective divisions. As the season draws to a close, we can expect more nail-biting action on the field.
