In the world of local football, the fifth week of Chesterfield Sunday League provided an action-packed evening full of thrill and excitement. The competition was fierce across all divisions, and several teams showcased their ability to stand out in the crowd.

In Division 1, Athletico Biffin marked their authority with a solid 3-1 victory over Whingerworth, while Brammersall showed their class with a whopping 5-0 win against LADZIO. However, the most emphatic performance came from Matip Is In, who demolished Eckington Boys with a staggering 11-0 scoreline.

Moving on to Division 2, where Inter McCann edged past “Norfolk & Good” with a 2-1 victory, and 360 No Pope managed to secure a 4-2 win over IMX FC. The match between Newbold FC and AFC S41thouse ended in a 2-2 draw, offering a fair share of points for both teams.

Over in Division 3, Xavi Dodgers trounced Raasclaart Rangers with a massive 9-3 victory. Dyslexia United and Matip Stinks battled it out to a 1-1 draw, while Pathetic Athletic bested Somersall All Stars with a 7-3 scoreline.

In Division 4, Walking Football FC pulled off a close 3-2 win over Brexit Birdholme, and The Jerry Hat-Tricks secured a 3-0 victory against Brexit Or Exit. Meanwhile, Park Road FC notched a comfortable 6-3 win over Parking The Bus FC.

The standout performance of the week came from Owen Parry of 360 No Pope. His skilful play and dominant presence on the field earned him the deserving title of the Most Valued Player of the week.

Finally, the top scorers from each division were Athletico Biffin in Division 1, 360 No Pope in Division 2, Xavi Dodgers in Division 3, and Park Road FC in Division 4.

As we move towards the next week of Chesterfield Sunday League, the participating teams will be striving hard to improve their performances and climb up the league table.
