In an exhilarating start to the season, Chester Monday’s 7-a-side Football League witnessed some nail-biting matches across all divisions last night as the new season kicked off.
In the Premier League, the play was intense, and the results were closely contested. Big L and Team 1 battled it out for a 3-3 draw, while Jimmy Lloyds Hassel-Bank FC edged out Mickys Magnificent 7 with a narrow win of 5-4. PlayLikeAlmiron showcased stellar performance against Hoole Rangers FC, scoring 3-1, while Sheffield Monday dominated Anchor FC with a 3-0 victory.
The Division 1 matches were no less thrilling. Reeves Rovers started the season on a high note, scoring 3-0 against Hardly Athletic. The Bouv FC and Rovers Return played to a tie with a score of 1-1. Black Rabbit FC secured a slim victory against Ceeaitchthree FC with a score of 1-0, and Huzzy Wuzzie FC tied 3-3 with WoolyBack Rovers.
In Division 2, Rising Stars FC fell short against Inhaler FC in a 1-0 defeat. M&S Bank FC started the season strong, with a commanding 6-0 victory over Yo Yo FC. Feed the Goat bested Billard FC 2-0, while Real Greens triumphed over Great Escape, 2-1.
Meanwhile, in Division 3, Luton United narrowly won against Released on Bale, 4-3, and Rubber Dingy Rapids FC scored an impressive 5-2 victory over ESC7. Overton 8 rounded off the night with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Barely Athletic.
