NEW TEAM MAKE GREAT START TO COWES 6 A SIDE

We welcomed a brand new team to the Cowes Tuesday night set up this week with Darren and his team Balotelli-Tubbies taking the vacant space in the top flight. They started with a bang too and look a quality young outfit brushing aside Touch Matip 11 - 0 thanks in part to 7 goals from striker Will Bridi. Having taken over in 2nd place their 1st win has helped close the gap at the top with St Mary's dropping a point in their entertaining 3 - 3 draw against 3rd placed Man Chest Hair Utd. Pique Blinders stay in touch with the top sides with a solid 8 - 2 win over another new side IOW Inbreds while Old Guns match them on 9 points after their 6 - 1 win against Robbin Ma Koch.

There was a big win for MillersMayhems in Division One to help them climb the table. Jenson Norman in fine form with 5 goals in their 11 - 2 win over Diverse Cowboys. How I Met your Mata continued their strong season with a 4 - 1 win over Fill Her Wycombe while an Isaac Harvey hat-trick made the difference for One Inch Wanders as they got the better of Victor Moses Lawn 4 - 3. Chewbacca The Net picked up another important 2 points from their game with Hit The Wheel, winning 5 - 2 to head up the race for the 2nd promotion place.

It was certainly a challenging night with the wild weather served up in Cowes so thank you to all the players and our 3 officials for getting the job done. Hopefully it will be a bit drier next Tuesday when we play out week 9 of the season.

Good luck everyone for that.
