TITLE RACE BACK ON IN COWES 6 A SIDE

There was a twist in the title race last night in Cowes as our teams all turned up in force for week 12 of the season. We have two weeks left now before we expand the league with a 2nd division forming part of the new season that starts on 1st November. It's not to late to be part of that either, we are open to more new teams here so why not get amongst it in Cowes on a Tuesday night and test yourselves in this amazing league.

This seasons champions will be one of St Marys's and Old Guns with the two sides well out in front of the rest and anything other than defeat last night would pretty much have confirmed St Mary's as champions. Old Guns don't give up easily though and Billy Chugg returned to goal scoring action for what was a make or break game for his side. Ross Lacey also netted twice to give the former 4 time champions a chance in overhauling St Mary's at the top of the table. It was a brilliant match up with both teams fully committed and the season looks like going to the wire after Old Guns came away with the 2 points to inflict the 1st defeat of St Mary's brilliant season. St Marys are still hot favourites to pick up the trophy as they hold a far superior goal difference but any slip up now in the last two games and their old rivals will be there ready to pounce. 3 - 1 to Old Guns on the night and plenty of legs left in the title race yet.

Elsewhere we saw a great performance from Millennials Plus who occupy 3rd place in the table. They were just too strong for Robbin Ma Koch who remain pointless after the 9 - 1 defeat. Joel Mather was in fine form netting 3 for his team, backed up by 2 each from Rob Aubrey, Phillip Hamblen and Jayden Long in a solid team performance. Baines on Toast also won well to stay outside the bottom two with a 6 - 1 win against Victor Moses Lawn, Nic with a hattrick for his team while Kian Mooney also netted 3 for Pique Blinders in their 4 - 1 win over Diverse Cowboys to keep them in 4th place.

Big thanks to Calum, Jukesy and Steve for reffing the games again this week, looks like we have an exciting end to the season so good luck to all our teams for the run in.
