UNREAL MADRID CHAMPIONS OF COWES

We wrapped up our season of 6 a side football in Cowes last night with our Tuesday teams jostling for the final places in both divisions. There were goals, drama and upsets but at the end of the night Unreal Madrid were crowned as Premier League Champions for the 1st time. It's been a brilliant season for the new side led by Luke Chessel, they finished 4 points clear of Old Guns and registered a plus 44 goal difference at the same time. The season was rounded off with a comprehensive 5 - 1 win over St Marys and with Old Guns failing to get a win over DBS the title rightly went to Unreal Madrid. In an unlikely twist it was a great night for Pique Blinders who managed to overturn a decent goal advantage held by St Mary's going into the night. Pique's 14 - 0 win over MillersMayhems meaning it's St Mary's that potentially drop into Division One, obviously with the league expanding it's possible they will stay in the top flight, we will just have to see what's what when the fixtures are sorted.

Definitely playing top flight football next season are Baines on Toast and Robbin Ma Koch with Baines going up as champions following a brilliant final night performance last night in beating Fill Her Wycombe 6 - 1 to secure the title. In contrast The Koch's flopped at the end of a long hard season for them, going down 1 - 0 to Victor Moses Lawn to finish runners up. It's been an excellent season for them too and the challenge of the prem awaits. Moses Lawn end the season 3rd just a point ahead of Diverse Cowboys in 4th.

Thank you to everyone for a great season again, we look forward to kicking off the new 16 team season next Tuesday and will be in touch about the fixtures asap. Massive thanks as always to Calum and the guys reffing our games each week, we couldn't run leagues without our officials so we are always grateful for their efforts.

Good luck to everyone, including our 4 new teams for the upcoming season, hopefully it will be the best one so far!
