The Lichfield Monday Football League started its new season last night, full of thrilling matches across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2. 

We thank all teams for their continued support and reliability as always 

In the Premier League, Barely Athletic hit the ground running with a commanding 5-2 victory over APFC, demonstrating their title credentials. Similarly, Exeter Gently matched the score in a solid win against Yes Chef. SHOW ME THE MANE and Pique Blinders fought hard to a 2-2 draw, while Inter Yanan triumphed over Out On Bale with a 3-1 win.

Division 1 saw Thursday Club kick off the season with a 4-0 victory over MK Dongs. ICE PACK managed to secure a narrow 3-2 win against Finley Fiddlers, while Dairy Milk FC fell to Weasels by 2-0. Colonel Getafe emerged victorious over Slick Ricks Army with a 5-3 win, setting an upbeat pace for the rest of the season.

Division 2 had an equally enthralling start, where Special Olympiakos edged out Murder On Zidanes Floor 1-0. Law Abiding Sigurdssons clinched a 2-0 win over Sutton Sounders, while Inter MaVan secured a 2-1 win against Inter Row Z. Débutants Weegion rounded off the night with a dominant 8-3 victory over Marodinner.
