In the heart of Wednesday night’s football action, the 14th week of the 6-a-side Guernsey Wednesday Football League saw a thrilling set of matches.

In the Premier League division, Gash Galvanisers edged Substandard Liege 2-1 in a hotly contested game. Baines On Toast matched this result with a 2-1 victory over Aztekkers. However, the biggest spectacle of the night was the goal-fest between Too Many Flutes FC and Pelé Galaxy CF, with the latter coming out on top with a stunning 7-4 victory. The Mail Men also had a fantastic night dominating Los Diablos with a 7-1 win.

Moving to Division 1, Two Girls One Schlupp and Man Cheaty 115 couldn't be separated, ending in a 1-1 draw. The clash between Valpys FC and Ran Out Of Mane saw the latter winning comprehensively at 5-1. In a tightly fought match, Brentford Rejects beat Egg Fried Reus 1-0. One Foot In The Grave succumbed to Class On Grass in a nail-biting 3-2 defeat. Bossolona managed a clean 2-0 triumph over Exeter Gently.

In Division 2, Cherry-Poppers held their nerve to beat Only Put Matip In with a scoreline of 5-4. Jager Sinkers delivered an outstanding performance, thrashing First Class Ballers 8-0. EY 11 emerged as victors against Football Club FC, with a 4-1 scoreline. AAFC secured a 2-0 win over Guernsey Academicals, while Purple Reign fell to Who Ate All Depays in a 2-0 defeat.

Top scorers of the week were from Pelé Galaxy CF, The Mail Men, and Jager Sinkers from Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 respectively. Their performances have undoubtedly set the stage for an exciting next week of Guernsey Wednesday Football League.
