Lichfield Monday Football League Kicks Off New Season with Exciting Matches

The much-anticipated football season of Lichfield Monday league kicked off with thrilling matches across three divisions: Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.

In the Premier League, Out On Bale showed an impressive performance beating MK Dongs 4-1, demonstrating their potential to be a dominant force this season. Thursday Club also started their campaign on a high, demolishing Parks Poachers with a staggering 10-0 victory. Perth Glory Hole and Colonel Getafe battled it out in a high-scoring match, with Perth Glory Hole emerging victorious 7-5.

Over in Division 1, the competition was fierce with closely contested matches. The Grillbillies narrowly lost to Dude Wheres My Ladders, with a final score of 1-2. Yes Chef and ICE PACK played to a 2-2 draw, showing that there's little to separate the two sides early on in the season. The Generals edged out LCFS 3-2, while SHELFIELD WEDNESDAY lost to HS Hooligans 1-2.

In Division 2, Torta Twisters succumbed to Barhomies, with the game ending at a scoreline of 1-5. Morgan Sniffs White overcame Bobcats Bombers 3-1, while Steves Little Yuppers lost to Pub After? 1-4. Ehmazing secured a narrow victory over Expected Toulouse with a 1-0 win.

With the season just beginning, it's too early to predict the frontrunners in each division. However, the top scorers in the first week for the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 are Thursday Club, The Generals, and Barhomies respectively.

Keep an eye on the Lichfield Monday Football League as the season progresses, promising more thrilling matches and impressive performances in the weeks to come.
