CAMBRIDGE FOOTBALL LEAGUE RECORDS THRILLING MATCHUPS IN WEEK 2
The Cambridge Monday Football League kicked off its second week in high spirits, as football clubs from Division 1 and Division 2 showcased their prowess on the field.
In Division 1, the competition was fierce, with ACA Milan narrowly edging out Gimp Tuahs with a 2-1 victory. El ClassiCoe maintained their winning streak, shutting out Grove FC 2-0. The match between Bottlejobs FC and Inter Yer Nan proved to be a nail-biter, with Inter Yer Nan overcoming Bottlejobs 4-3 in a high-scoring match. Ballotellitubby FC continued to demonstrate a strong defense, winning 2-0 against Shaggers FC. United Nations FC marked an impressive 4-1 victory against Grabit and Run FC, emerging as one of the top contenders in the division.
Turning the spotlight onto Division 2, Net Six And Chill unleashed their full potential in an 8-0 demolition of 0Comms. The team's strategic play and impressive team coordination were the highlights of their game. Get A Job secured a 2-0 win against Ovlov Untied, while PickNMix FC earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory against CCG. Stella Courtois defeated Bridge Dons 2-1, adding another victory to their tally.
While every team put up a strong performance, the top scorers of the divisions were undeniably the stars of the show. In Division 1, United Nations FC led the scoring table with 4 goals. Over in Division 2, Net Six And Chill dominated the pitch with a staggering 8 goals.
