The inaugural week of the Cambridge Monday 6-a-side Football league sparked intense competition, as teams from the Division 1 and Division 2 exhibited a strong play to kickstart the season.

In Division 1's thrilling contests, 0Comms outperformed Stoke By Clare FC in a 4-1 victory, showcasing their attacking prowess from the get-go. The battle between Shlong Slinger FC and El ClassiCoe saw the latter secure a 4-2 win, marking a promising start to their campaign. However, the highlight of the Division was the nail-biting Faceoff between Scoregasm FC and Jam N Custard, with the latter narrowly winning by 5-4. The top scorer of Division 1 has yet to be confirmed but the games played clearly showed a competitive spirit amongst the teams.

Over in Division 2, Barely Athletic made a dominant statement with a decisive 5-1 victory over Fake Madrid. Borehams Little Boys secured a solid 3-1 win over Ovlov Untied. The most notable match belonged to BOTTLEJOBS, who claimed an impressive 9-1 triumph over No Stamina Boys, marking the highest scoring game in the division this week. The league's officials are in the process of confirming the top scorer for Division 2.
