In the bustling world of local football, week 6 of the Oldham Tuesday 6-a-side Football League dished up yet another serving of thrilling, high-scoring action.

In the Premier League, Unemployed FC stamped their authority on the division with a resounding 7-1 victory over Barely Athletic, with ISA spearheading their attack with a stunning four-goal haul that saw him crowned the division's top scorer. The Nuthurst Lads also put in an impressive performance, keeping a clean sheet in their 3-0 defeat of Pennine Care FC.

The most closely contested matches of the division were between Shoprite Rovers and The Radclyffe Boys, and Gnome FC versus Curry FC, both ending in 2-2 draws. Niall Webb of The Radclyffe Boys put in an exemplary performance that saw him named the league's most valued player.

The Division 1 games were no less exciting. Red Line FC and 6 Lions played in a nail-biting match that saw the latter emerge victors with a 3-2 win. However, it was Real Sosobad's 8-4 triumph over Betty Swallocks FC that stole the show in Division 1, largely due to Matt T's exceptional performance which earned him two goals and the title of top scorer.

Mustard FC maintained their strong league presence with a commanding 4-1 victory over Sports Leaders, whilst the Council Cowboys managed to narrowly edge out Hg Members in a tightly fought 2-1 match.

As we look forward to week 7, the Oldham Tuesday 6-a-side Football League continues to be a testament to the passion and skill found in grassroots football. The excitement is palpable and the competition fierce. Keep your eyes on the ball, as this season is shaping up to be a memorable one.
