OXFORD, UK - In an exhilarating start to the season, last night's Oxford Monday 5-a-side Football League showcased high-energy performances and nail-biting finishes across four divisions.
In the Premier League division, tension was high as Oluwa Nation narrowly edged out Misfits in a 4-3 victory. The Ninja Skrtels also secured a well-fought 2-1 win over Brazil Ballers. Ball Of Duty, however, stormed the field with an impressive 12-1 win against Weee Charvas FC, marking the highest scoring game of the night.
Division 1 saw Holy Rollers glide to a 5-0 victory against Puyol Pants Down FC, while FC Copenbadly managed to scrape past Armadillos with a 3-2 win, promising an exciting season ahead for these teams.
In Division 2, FC BANTERLONA defeated Rebel FC 8-5 in a high-scoring clash, and WhatTheHelly FC triumphed over The Old Boyz with a 4-1 win, setting a robust pace for the rest of the season.
Lastly, Division 3 had fans on the edge of their seats as Mats 5 FC managed a 9-7 victory against LIGHTNING LEGENDS. Misfits Reserves eked out a 1-0 win over Ready Joe, and DClin Utd shutout Casa Cowley 5-0.
The top scorers of the night were Ball Of Duty in the Premier League division, Holy Rollers in Division 1, FC BANTERLONA from Division 2, and Mats 5 FC in Division 3. With the season just getting underway, these teams have set a high bar for the weeks to come.
