PORTCHESTER THURSDAY 6 A SIDE RESULTS - MATCH DAY 4

The Portchester Thursday football league’s week four results are in and they promise continued excitement for the games to come. Two divisions saw some spectacular action, showing off the skill and determination that has come to define this league.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, AFC Purbrook showed a strong performance, leading to a decisive 7-0 victory against Maradonakebab. Lads On Toure had a similarly high-scoring match, beating Pup657 with a score of 7-4. Meanwhile, Project Zeus demonstrated their dominance with a 6-0 triumph over BSC Hung Boys. There was a tough competition between The Six Offenders and Skertals where Skertals emerged victorious with a margin of 7-4.

The star player of Division 1, Jack Gurling, showed his worth by scoring a total of 5 impressive goals for Project Zeus, proving that he's a player to watch out for in the upcoming weeks.

DIVISION TWO  

In Division 2, Haven't Jota Clue stood out with a resounding 10-2 victory over Cob Fc. Elsewhere, Bumfica made their mark by beating Suncream United 9-2. The most evenly matched game of the day was between Yardee FC and Netsix And Chill, finishing in a 5-5 draw.

The player of the week in Division 2 was undoubtedly AJ Peach. He showed his goal-scoring prowess for Haven't Jota Clue, netting 5 goals and making a significant contribution to his team's resounding victory.

The Portchester Thursday league week 4 has set a promising tone for the rest of the season. The energy, competitiveness, and spirit of the teams have made it a thrilling contest so far, we are eagerly waiting for week 5 after the festive break. The top scorers from week 4, Jack Gurling and AJ Peach, have set a high standard for their competitors. Their performances will undoubtedly inspire other players to bring their best game in the following weeks.

A big thank you to Dave for running the evening although with our referee's Al and Chris. Thank you to all our teams this year, we now have a two week Christmas break and return to action on the 4th January. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone. Cheers Rich
