LINCOLN, UK - The Lincoln Sunday 6 a side Football League kicked off its new season under the stadium lights last night, with teams from Division 1 and Division 2 battling it out to secure early victories.
In Division 1, Bad Kompany! started their season with a narrow 1-0 victory over United We Stand. It was a fiercely contested match, but a solitary goal from Bad Kompany! was enough to secure the win.
Meanwhile, Road 2 Copper stormed to success with a convincing 3-1 victory against Bryant Munich FC, showing great promise for the season ahead. Geri-Hat-Tricks also had a reason to celebrate, edging their way to a 3-2 win over Fat Dads & Adam in a thrilling goal-fest.
Over in Division 2, Unathletico Madrid faced a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Abcde Fc, while Oldcastle UTD fell just short in a high-scoring 3-2 clash against Hogs Fm.
With the season just getting started, these early week 1 results have set the tempo for what promises to be a competitive season across both divisions.
Although it's early days in the competition, standout performances from the top scorers of each division should not go unnoticed. In Division 1, the standout player from Road 2 Copper showed his attacking prowess, while in Division 2, a star player from Hogs Fm demonstrated his goal-scoring abilities.
