New Season of Local Football League Kicks Off with Stunning Matches

The much-anticipated Sittingbourne Monday 6-a-side football league under floodlights began its new season yesterday. Football enthusiasts were treated to a feast of thrilling matches across the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.

In the Premier League division, fans witnessed some highly competitive football. TIZER CHIEFS and Ballerz kicked off the tournament with a 1-1 draw. Cunch Of Bunts FC narrowly overcame Fruity Dons FC with a 1-0 victory, while Stover FC and The Horse played out a 2-2 tie. Murston Massive delivered a strong performance, defeating Expected Toulouse 2-0. The game of the night was undoubtedly Isle Of Bourne's dominant 4-1 win over Gangsters Allardyce. Harry from Isle Of Bourne was the standout player, finishing the night as Premier League's top scorer with 2 goals.

Moving to Division 1, Zesty Zebras got the better of Balotellitubbies with a 2-0 win. Brexit Boys FC edged past Vineyardigains FC in a closely fought 1-0 match. Stroke Titty and Ace FC each recorded 2-0 victories against In FC and Snorting Lisbon, respectively. PPE FC and Paralympiakos ended in a 1-1 draw. Joe Doody of PPE FC stole the show in Division 1 with his goal earning him the top scorer of the night.

In Division 2, MKE Dons opened their account with a 5-0 blitz against Workout Wolfsburg. Woodbourne won a close encounter against AFC Browning 1-0, while The Saints fell to Chubby Alonsos 2-0. OP FC and CS FC ended the night with a 1-1 tie. The highlight of the Division 2 was undoubtedly KC Milan's resounding 7-0 triumph over Fleur De Lis. KC Milan's Jay Knowles emerged as the top goal scorer with 3 goals to his name.
