PRESS RELEASE

In an exciting week 5 of the Stratford Wednesday 5 a side Football league, it was intense competition and ultimate showmanship from the teams in the Premier League and Division 1 that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats. With only two weeks left in the season, the teams are leaving no stone unturned in their bid to secure a place for the next season.

In the Premier League division, the night started with a high-octane match between Lampards Army and Shipston Youth, with the latter clinching an 8-5 victory. Barely Athletic faced a similar fate, losing 8-4 to Tricky Trees. The standout performance of the night, however, came from Contebag FC, who demonstrated their dominance with a staggering 12-1 victory over The Squirrel.

Over in Division 1, the matches were equally thrilling. Shippo Town suffered a narrow 7-6 loss to Class On Grass in what was arguably the most tightly fought match of the night. Notinher Forest couldn't overcome the might of Taxers FC, falling 11-4 in their showdown. Misfits Reserves, however, ended their night on a high note, securing a well-earned 3-1 victory over Here 4 Beer.

The top scorers of each division further showcased their teams' power and prowess on the pitch, but it was the sheer grit and determination of all the competitors that truly embodied the spirit of the Stratford Wednesday league.
