Abingdon 5 a side Monday round up!

ABINGDON 5 A SIDE MONDAY ROUND UP

An excellent turnout for match day 8 at Tilsley Park on Monday. Sorry it's a bit late and brief, I'm covering Rob's leagues for the rest of the week along with mine so it's a little hectic. The big change in the league was in Div 1 were we have new leaders. Here's a look at the results:

PREMIER LEAGUE

Bottom side Goals Aloud gave a leaders Massive Irons a decent game before Irons ran out 5-1 winners to remain on course for the title, they only need a point from their final two games to seal it. AB's All White's picked up a 5-0 win with Royal Madrid away while relatively new side Backstreet Moyes look more than capable in the Prem as they defeated Pathetico Madrid 5-2.

DIVISION ONE

Only Put Matip In won a thriller 6-5 against bottom side Athletico Flint to rise to the top of the Div 1 table. Sporting John drop to third as they lost to The Village 5-2 who moved into second. The other game saw The Sticky Bandits climb out of the relegation zone and put Cunning Stunts in it with a 7-4 victory over them.

DIVISION TWO

FC Copenbadly are now confirmed as Div 2 champions as they ran out 6-2 winners against FC Unts to give themselves five point lead over second place Substandard Liege, Liege lost on the night 7-4 to Expected Toulouse who have now given themselves a good chance of survival. Intayanan returned to winning ways this week with a 6-3 victory over Wantage Washouts.

DIVISION THREE

Soggy Busquet stay on top of Div 3 with a 4-1 away win at Wanyama's while second place Sluts N Bolts had a comfortable 11-1 win at Hardly Athletic. The other game saw Survey Monkey's pick up a 5-0 win with Relegation Rovers away.

DIVISION FOUR

Fredericks FC all but sealed the Div 4 title with a 6-0 victory against their nearest challengers Destined Toulouse. Sam McQueen hit four goals as BeanzBurgzBosh won 9-7 against Rhythm Of Van Dijk while another great game saw Bacon Mbappe win 5-3 against Kick It In The Net-ics.

Thank you to all our teams and of course Dean and our refs. Good luck on match day 9 on the 17th April, remember we are off on Easter Monday. Happy Easter everyone, Thanks Rich
