Abingdon Monday 5 a side End of the Season

Our Abingdon Monday 5 a side season came to a close last night at Tilsley Park. A big congratulations to all our champions and thank you to all our teams especially our captains. A big thank you to Dean for running the night and to all our refs Ian, Nick, Tom, Ben and Soti, remember we couldn't do it without these guys.

Congratulations to Massive Irons on a 100% record in the Premier League, Royal Madrid coming in as runners up. In Div 1 Costa Rica FC also completed the season with a 100% record to fire them up into the Premier League, following them up are Div 1 runners up Sporting John.

Goals Aloud are crowned Div 2 champions with Didwell FC just squeezing into the promotion places on goal difference ahead of Only Put Matip In. Intayanan finished two points ahead of UpThe Ducks to lift the Div 3 trophy while FC Copenbadly won their title decider 7-5 against Steptoe FC to win Div 4.

Now onto the Golden Boot awards, they are as follows, well done all.

Premier League - Stuart Moffat (AB's All Whites)
Div 1 - Oliver Tyler (Costa Rica FC)
Div 2 - Jamie Killner (Only Put Matip In)
Div 3 - Josh Godwin (UpTheDucks)
Div 4 - Aaran Mudie (Steptoe FC)

Finally a massive congratulations to the league's Most Valuable Player - Jack Hendy of Intayanan who picked up 6 MVP awards throughout the season.

The new fixtures will be out on Thursday and the new season starts on Monday 21st November, hopefully England will start with a win in the World Cup lunchtime kick off at 1pm. As it's a normal working day on Monday and it's a early afternoon KO the league will be on as normal that evening. Thanks Rich
