ABINGDON MONDAY 5 A SIDE RESULTS - MATCH DAY 12

In the world of local sports, adrenaline was at an all-time high as the Abingdon Monday 5-a-side Football league played out its 12th week last night. From stunning goals to extraordinary saves, the matches had it all.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, Aspergio Aguero took down Anker United with a resounding 9-2 victory. Aguero's performance was a clear demonstration of their dominance in the division. Their offense was on fire, leading to them being the top scorers of the division for the week. With a couple of teams away at half-term and available space this was the only league game in Div 1 this week although there was a full schedule in both Div 2 and Div 3 .

DIVISION TWO

Division 2 saw a heated competition, the match between Cunning Stunts and Puyol Pants Down ended in a 2-2 draw, exhibiting some impressive defence from both teams, the point was enough to take Pants top. The standout team of the division was undoubtedly Substandard Liege, who defeated Ivory Toast 14-4, thus claiming the title of the top scorers in Division 2 this week. Their offensive prowess was on full display, with clinical finishes and well-coordinated attacks. Intayanan improved their slim promotion chances with a 5-2 win over the leaders at the start of play FC Unts, they close the gap to Unts to 4 points. 

In other games Survey Monkey's won a nail-biter against Matip 4-3 while Goals Aloud beat Hardly Athletic 7-4.

DIVISION THREE

In Division 3, the thrill and competitiveness reached a peak. Wenger Fun Stops Stop bagged an impressive 12-3 win over His Mind FC. Their performance was nothing short of spectacular, earning them the top scorers accolade in Division 3. The division also witnessed an intense match between Fiorentina Turner and second place Eze Top 3, which ended with Eze Top 3 taking the victory at 11-6. They stay a point behind leaders The Broad Beans who managed a 8-2 win over Adam Johnson's U9s. In other games Expected Toulouse sealed a 4-2 victory against Kick It In The Net-ics while Bumfica won 5-2 against Schofields U15s.

As the league progresses into its 13th week, we are eagerly anticipating the upcoming matches. With teams continuing to showcase their skills and determination, the Abingdon Monday 5-a-side Football league is proving to be a thrilling spectacle.
