Abingdon Monday 5 a side news - match day 2

In an exciting week of football, Abingdon Monday, a 5-a-side football league, saw its second match week filled with exhilarating goals and nail-biting moments.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, 2 In The Pink emerged victorious against Pablo Escoballers with a scoreline of 4-2. In another match, Pathetico Madrid made a statement by scoring 5-1 victory over Only Put Matip In. The Broad Beans showed no mercy against RP FC, winning the match with a massive scoreline of 8-1 to go top of the table.

DIVISION TWO  

Moving to Division 2, Cunning Stunts had a field day, scoring 20 goals against Booky Boys FC who managed to score only 2. OJ UTD also took home a 5-2 victory against Cumnor All Stars, demonstrating their strength in the second division.

DIVISION THREE

The games in Division 3 proved to be equally thrilling. Hardly Athletic and FC Unts had a close contest ending up in a 7-7 draw. Matty And The Colonisers dominated their game against Real Sosobad, winning by a huge margin of 17-0. In a much more close-knit game, Klopps And Robbers registered a win against Ruben Amorimjob 2-1. The match between Xavi Dodgers and Survey Monkeys also witnessed high scoring, concluded with an 8-5 win in favour of Xavi Dodgers.

DIVISION FOUR

Finally, in Division 4, John Smiths Old Boys secured a 4-2 win against Local Benchwarmers, and Bumfica managed to edge out Optek Utd in a low scoring game, finishing 1-0.

This week saw some top scorers across divisions. Cunning Stunts from Division 2 with their remarkable 20 goals, and Matty And The Colonisers from Division 3 with their 17 goals, stood as the top scorers from their divisions. The Broad Beans from Division 1 and Xavi Dodgers from Division 3 were also among the top scorers with 8 goals each. This week of football has set high expectations for the matches to follow.
