Abingdon Monday 5 a side news - match day 2

In the thrilling week 2 clashes of the Abingdon Monday 5-a-side football league, teams across three divisions battled it out on the pitch, providing an exciting spectacle for us. It was excellent week with some really close games.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, Intayanan emerged victorious against Aspergio Aguero with a score of 4-2, a great start for Inta in Div 1 and credit to them for taking up the challenge of a season in the top flight. Newly promoted FC Unts have also made a good start and they demonstrated their prowess by defeating the Milf Slayers 4-2. The most high-scoring match of the division was between Backstreet Moyes and new team Wood A Lot, ending in a decisive 8-4 victory for the latter. The Broad Beans dominated Up Dias with a resounding 10-2 win, leaving no doubt about their intent this season.

DIVISION TWO

Moving on to Division 2, Leave My Arcelona stunned Cunning Stunts with an 8-6 triumph while Only Put Matip In showcased their skills with a 7-1 win over Hardly Athletic. Leaders Eze Top 3 beat Substandard Liege with a scoreline of 5-3. Only Kruls And Horses clinched a narrow 8-5 win against the Survey Monkeys.

DIVISION THREE

In Division 3, Kick It In The Net-ics edged past Fiorentina Turner with a 1-0 scoreline to make it two wins from two games for them. Expected Toulouse FC squeaked by Rejects FC 2-1 while Schofields U15s pulled off a narrow 3-2 victory over Bumfica.

As the season progresses, the competition is expected to get fiercer. Teams across all divisions will be looking to learn from this week's results and up their game as they prepare for the upcoming fixtures.
