Abingdon Monday 5 a side news - match day 3

In an enthralling evening of football at the Abingdon Monday 5 A Side League, Week 3 unfolded with some spectacular results across five divisions. Each division experienced adrenaline-filled competition as teams vied for supremacy.

DIVISION ONE

In Division 1, Pablo Escoballers displayed a dominant performance with a 5-1 victory over The Broad Beans, making a significant statement for their title aspirations. But it was the team Only Put Matip In who stole the show with a big 8-2 win against FC Unts. After a shaky start to the season, champions Six Offenders got off the mark with an impressive 5-1 win over Royal Madrid.

DIVISION TWO

Meanwhile, Division 2 saw the Cunning Stunts making their mark with a resounding 8-2 victory against Only Kruls And Horses to go top of the table. OJ UTD managed a close 2-1 win over Klopps And Robbers, while Pathetico Madrid showed their class with a convincing 4-1 win over Sons Of Pitches.

DIVISION THREE

In Division 3, His Mind FC and Bud Army clearly stood out, with Bud Army producing a stunning 9-2 victory against Local Benchwarmers while His Mind defeated Optek 3-1. An exciting game between Tescos Finest and Expected Toulouse FC saw the latter edge out a 6-5 thriller.

DIVISION FOUR

BarcaBoneHer were the talk of Division 4, edging out Div 5 champions Matty And The Colonisers with a 3-0 win. In an evenly contested game, Casuals emerged victorious with a 3-2 win over Ctrl Alt De Ligt to rise to the top of the table while OBC Saints held Xavi Dodgers to a 5-5 draw in a nail-biting encounter.

DIVISION FIVE

Finally, Division 5 featured Guehi Pride and Bumfica, with Bumfica enjoying a 5-1 victory. Hardly Athletic and Survey Monkeys ended in a thrilling 6-6 draw, whereas Ange Summers beat AgeDoesntMata with a comfortable 7-0 scoreline to remain top.

As we look forward to the next week, this league continues to promise high-octane football and thrilling performances.
