The Abingdon Monday 5 a side Football League continued with its 5th week of the season on Monday night. With an exciting evening of football matches across Division 1 to Division 5, the league showcased some exceptional performances.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, the match between Only Put Matip In and Pablo Escoballers ended in a narrow victory for leaders Pablo Escoballers with a scoreline of 3-2. Royal Madrid showed a dominating performance by beating FC Unts 6-0. The Broad Beans, however, stole the show in a high-scoring match against The Six Offenders, winning with a staggering score of 12-3.
DIVISION TWO
Moving on to Division 2 there was a couple of teams away so Cunning Stunts and Pathetico Madid picked up wins, Sons of Pitches secured a comfortable 6-2 win against Klopps And Robbers in the division's league game.
DIVISION THREE
In Division 3, Tescos Finest and Local Benchwarmers concluded their match in a thrilling 6-6 draw. Bud Army triumphed over Optek Utd 3-1, while Expected Toulouse FC won over His Mind FC with a score of 5-2 as they kept their 100% record in tact.
DIVISION FOUR
The action in Division 4 saw BarcaBoneHer taking down Xavi Dodgers 9-4 to rise to the top of the table while Matty And The Colonisers beat Ctrl Alt De Ligt 5-0. OBC Saints edged out Casuals in a closely contested 5-4 match.
DIVISION FIVE
In Division 5, Guehi Pride displayed exceptional gameplay, beating AgeDoesntMata 7-1. Ange Summers and Survey Monkeys ended their game with a 2-2 draw. Hardly Athletic secured a 6-4 victory against Bumfica to remain on track for the title at the halfway point of the season.
The highly competitive action promises an even more exciting Week 6 of the Abingdon Monday 5 a side Football League. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming week.
