ABINGDON MONDAY 5 A SIDE RESULTS - MATCH DAY 5
In a thrilling display of skill and competitiveness, Week 5 of the Abingdon Monday Football League saw several teams stepping up their game in divisions 1, 2 and 3. Performances from teams in these divisions have shown that the season is heating up.
DIVISION ONE
Starting with Division 1, the game between Osama and Cameroon Diaz ended in a narrow victory for league leaders Cameron Diaz with a score of 2-1. The second game was a close contest where Makeshift FC edged past Sluts N Bolts by 3-2. The matches in Division 1 were a testament to the high-level competition and the result could be a sign of what's to come in the remaining season.
DIVISION TWO
Division 2 saw Puyol Pants Down hitting four goals to Cunning Stunts' one, a commendable feat indeed as the league leaders made it 5 wins from 5 games. Substandard Liege delivered an impressive performance, outscoring Ivory Toast by 7-3. The match between Only Put Matip In and Survey Monkeys was a nail-biter with the former team emerging victorious by a thin margin of 4-3. Goals Aloud also secured a win against Hardly Athletic with a score of 4-2, while FC Unts took home the victory against Intayanan by 3-1.
DIVISION THREE
Moving on to Division 3, Bumfica dominated the pitch scoring six goals against Schofields U15s who managed only two. Adam Johnsons U9s squeaked a narrow victory against leaders The Broad Beans, ending with a scoreline of 1-0. Wenger Fun Stops Stop scored an impressive 13 goals against His Mind FC's four. Neither Kick It In The Net-ics or Expected Toulouse FC could find the net as their game ended 0-0. Eze Top 3 took a mammoth win over Fiorentina Turner, scoring 10 goals to Fiorentina's two.
