ABINGDON MONDAY 5 A SIDE RESULTS - MATCH DAY 6

It was a night of thrills and spills as week 6 of the Abingdon Monday Night 5-a-side football league unfolded. The teams in Divisions 1, 2, and 3 put up a great display of footballing skills and spirit, with several matches going down to the wire.

DIVISION ONE  

In Division 1, the clash of the titans saw Backstreet Moyes overpower Anker United, emerging victoriously with a score line of 3-1. In another high voltage encounter, Cameroon Diaz locked horns with Makeshift FC and secured a 4-2 victory. The match between Aspergio Aguero and Osama was a goal-fest, with Osama coming out on top with a staggering 8-4 win.

DIVISION TWO

In Division 2, a tight game between Cunning Stunts and Goals Aloud ended in a 3-3 draw, while FC Unts convincingly defeated Hardly Athletic 4-1. In the showdown between Survey Monkeys and Intayanan, the latter came out on top with a 4-2 win. Only Put Matip In and Substandard Liege had an exciting match, with the former triumphing 4-1. Puyol Pants Down bagged a 5-3 victory over Ivory Toast.

DIVISION THREE  

The Division 3 showdown was a mix of closely fought matches and one-sided affairs. Bumfica managed to edge past Fiorentina Turner with a 4-3 win while Eze Top 3 clinched a tight match against Expected Toulouse FC with a 2-1 victory. Wenger Fun Stops Stop showed no mercy to Kick It In The Net-ics, with a big 10-1 win. The Broad Beans had a convincing win over His Mind FC to stay top of the table. The night ended with Adam Johnsons U9s edging past Schofields U15s with a 2-1 win.

As we head into week 7 after the Christmas break, the stakes get higher. With several teams proving their mettle, it's anyone's game in the Abingdon Monday Night 5-a-side Football League. Stay tuned for more football action next week.
