Abingdon Monday 5 a side news - match day 7

In the latest instalment of the thrilling Abingdon Monday 5-a-side Football league, the action did not disappoint as we reached the seventh week of the season.

DIVISION ONE  

In Division 1, the match of the night was undoubtedly between "The Six Offenders" and "FC Unts", with the former clinching a high-scoring victory 9-6. This victory sees The Six Offenders emerge as top scorers in the division this week. In the other matches, "Pablo Escoballers" and "Royal Madrid" battled to a 2-2 draw in the top of the table clash while "Only Put Matip In" narrowly edged out "The Broad Beans" 3-2.

DIVISION TWO

Moving over to Division 2, "Sluts And Bolts" secured a comfortable 6-4 victory over "Klopps And Robbers" as they climb the table. Meanwhile, "Sons Of Pitches" impressed with a 6-1 demolition of "OJ UTD" to stay top. "Pathetico Madrid" got the better of "Cunning Stunts" in a 5-3 thriller to keep them second only on goal difference.

DIVISION THREE

In Division 3, "Optek Utd" asserted their dominance with a 7-2 victory over "Local Benchwarmers" as they boosted their survival chances. "Tescos Finest" secured a 4-2 win over "His Mind FC" while leaders "Bud Army" marched to a 5-1 victory against "Expected Toulouse FC".

DIVISION FOUR

Division 4 saw table toppers "BarcaBoneHer" deliver an 8-0 drubbing to bottom side "Ctrl Alt De Ligt", making them the division's top-scoring team this week. "OBC Saints" managed a narrow 2-0 win over "Matty And The Colonisers" while "Xavi Dodgers" scraped past "Casuals" 2-1.

DIVISION FIVE

Lastly, in Division 5, "Hardly Athletic" took top scoring honours with a 7-3 win over "AgeDoesntMata" to keep them at the summit. Elsewhere, "Ange Summers" eked out a 4-3 victory against "Guehi Pride", and "Survey Monkeys" beat "Bumfica" with a scoreline of 2-1.

As the season progresses, teams will be looking to build on their performances thus far. Next week's fixtures promise to bring more of the same high-intensity action, and we await the results with bated breath.
