Abingdon Monday 5 a side news - match day 8

The Abingdon Monday 5-a-side Football league entered its 8th week with a flurry of exciting matches that took place last night, resulting in some thrilling outcomes that have significantly shaken up the standings in all four divisions.

DIVISION ONE  

In Division 1, The Broad Beans achieved a resounding victory over Only Put Matip In, with an impressive 7-2 win. Elsewhere, RP FC pulled off a commendable performance against Cumnor All Stars, securing a 6-3 victory. However, the match of the night in Division 1 was between Pathetico Madrid and Royal Madrid, with the latter edging the former 6-4 in a goal-laden match.

DIVISION TWO

Division 2 also saw some tightly contested battles. Ruben Amorimjob outperformed BarcaBoneHer with a 3-1 victory, while OJ UTD narrowly got past Bud Army 2-1. Expected Toulouse FC pulled off an impressive 4-1 win over FC Unts while Cunning Stunts enjoyed a 4-2 in against Klopps and Robbers.

DIVISION THREE

Moving to Division 3, Xavi Dodgers dominated the pitch with a crushing 7-1 victory over Big Naturals. Casuals triumphed over Tescos Finest 7-3, and Hardly Athletic were unstoppable, winning 7-0 over Optek Utd.

DIVISION FOUR

Finally, in Division 4, the Local Benchwarmers stood out with a remarkable twelve-goal haul against Kante Be Stopped, winning 12-3. Other noteworthy matches included a tightly fought draw between AgeDoesntMata and Victor Moses Lawn, ending 3-3, and a narrow win for Survey Monkeys over Bumfica, with the scoreline reading 3-2. Finally leaders Matty and the Colonisers remained top of the table after a 4-2 win at Ctrl Alt De Ligt.

As the league moves into the 9th week, the competition is heating up with teams vying for the top spots in their respective divisions. The coming weeks promise even more exhilarating football. Stay tuned for more updates!
