In a thrilling week 8 of the high-stakes Abingdon Monday 5-a-side Football league, all five divisions saw some intense matches that had us on the edge of our seats. With only two weeks left in the season, division leaders are pulling out all the stops to secure their top spots.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, The Six Offenders emerged victorious over Only Put Matip In with a convincing 6-2 win, while The Broad Beans outclassed Royal Madrid in an 8-5 victory, solidifying their positions in the division.
DIVISION TWO
Division 2 saw some of the highest-scoring matches of the week, with Cunning Stunts securing an impressive 11-0 victory over Sons Of Pitches, and Pathetico Madrid triumphing over Klopps And Robbers with a score of 6-4. The OJ UTD vs Sluts And Bolts match was a nail-biter, ending with an 8-6 victory for Sluts And Bolts.

There was no shortage of excitement in Division 3 either. Bud Army outplayed Tescos Finest in a 10-4 victory while Expected Toulouse FC secured a solid 8-2 win over Optek Utd. His Mind FC narrowly defeated Local Benchwarmers with a score of 6-5.
DIVISION FOUR
Division 4 saw a tense draw between Matty And The Colonisers and Casuals at 4-4. BarcaBoneHer dominated their match against OBC Saints with a 10-2 victory, and Xavi Dodgers claimed a decisive 7-1 win over Ctrl Alt De Ligt.
DIVISION FIVE
In Division 5, Bumfica outscored AgeDoesntMata in a 4-1 victory while Survey Monkeys and Guehi Pride battled to a 5-5 draw. Ange Summers triumphed over Hardly Athletic with a score of 6-3.
