Abingdon Monday 5 a side news - match day 9

In an exciting week 9 of the Abingdon Monday 5-a-Side Football League, we saw some great games across all the divisions with some wonderful performances.

DIVISION ONE

Division 1 saw some electrifying matches with The Six Offenders overcoming table toppers Pablo Escoballers 2-1 in a close contest which see's Pablo having to wait another week to seal the title. Meanwhile, Only Put Matip In dominated Royal Madrid with a resounding 7-1 victory, a missed chance for Madrid to go level on points with Pablo. In the other game The Broad Beans secured a narrow win against FC Unts with a score of 5-3.

DIVISION TWO

Over in Division 2, Pathetico Madrid and OJ UTD ended in a 3-3 draw, an impressive performance from the bottom side OJ. Sons Of Pitches outscored Sluts And Bolts 7-5 in a back-and-forth encounter that kept us on the edge of our seats and take the title race to the final day.

DIVISION THREE

Division 3 saw an unbelievable performance from Expected Toulouse FC, as they crushed Local Benchwarmers 15-2. This high-scoring match was a testament to the offensive prowess of Expected Toulouse FC, who established their dominance in the division. The title race goes to the final week between Toulouse and Bud Army.

DIVISION FOUR

In Division 4, Xavi Dodgers outplayed Matty And The Colonisers with a 6-3 victory, while leaders BarcaBoneHer narrowly beat Casuals 2-1. OBC Saints also managed to scrape past Ctrl Alt De Ligt with a 2-1 win, further intensifying the competition at the mid-season mark and yet another title race which is going to the wire.

DIVISION FIVE

Finally, in Division 5, AgeDoesntMata triumphed over Survey Monkeys 5-3, Hardly Athletic overcame Guehi Pride 5-3, and leaders Ange Summers pulled off a clean sweep against Bumfica with a 3-0 win to send this division down to the final week too, will it be Hardly or Ange for the title.

As we approach the final day of the season, the race for the top spot seems more competitive than ever with all divisions going down to the last game.
