Abingdon Monday 5 a side round up from Tilsley Park!

Our Monday 5 a side league at Abingdon is now almost full with just one space remaining in the league. We welcomed some new teams to the league last night, a couple of teams were away but will be returning next week.

Unprotected Cesc have made an impressive start to life in the Premier League after promotion last season. They made it three wins on the bounce to sit top as they beat Hadland Rovers 7-3. Two other sides also have three wins in the Prem as Cooper's Troopers and Sporting Abeergut sealed victories again. Cooper's winning 13-4 against Fruity Spartans while Sporting picked up a points match win due to Abingdonnys being away. Unlimited look to be a force in the Prem as they comfortably defeated Basically Barca 12-0.

Div 1 should be filled by next Monday as new team Sevilla Depression joined last night. Unfortunately Murder On Zidanes Floor couldn't make it at extremely short notice however thank you to Expected Toulouse for stay on after their match to give Sevilla a match. Poortugal won their first match of the season as they beat Hardly Athletic in a end to end game 7-5 while Ivory Toast went top with a a points match win due to Norfolk being away this week. FCUOB also won a points match with Sporting Abeergut.

Royal Madrid look like they are going to work their way up the leagues as the Div 3 champions remain top of Div 2 after a 14-0 win against Only Put Matip In. Substandard Liege have begun the season well after relegation and recorded their third win in a row with a 7-4 victory against Expected Toulouse. The other two matches in the division were extremely close as Survey Monkeys beat The Sticky Bandits 3-2 while Cunning Stunts won 6-5 against AB's All Whites.

Division 3 is wide open this season with no team having won their opening three matches. Top Didcot Dawgs remain top despite going down 8-7 to new team Victor Moses Lawn. Romania also lost their 100% record after a 10-4 loss to Sporting John. The Reds are third on goal difference as they comfortably defeated Relegation Rovers 7-1 while FC Unts beat Intayanan 8-2.

Thank you to Dean for running the night and to our refs Ian, Martin and Ben and of course to all our teams. We still have one place left in the league so any new teams grab it while it's there. Get in touch on 07969 731086 or register online at the link below, thanks Rich
