New Abingdon Monday 5 a side season kicks off!

The Abingdon Monday 5 a side Football League marked the beginning of its fresh season last night with a series of exciting matches across Divisions 1, 2 and 3.

DIVISION ONE  

In Division 1, Up Dias and Aspergio Aguero kicked off the season in an exhilarating match that ended in a 7-7 draw. Both teams showcased impressive offensive strategies that promise an exciting season ahead. The Broad Beans narrowly defeated Backstreet Moyes 4-3 in a closely fought match. Moreover, Milf Slayers and Intayanan also had a thrilling match with each team scoring six goals each, indicating that the competition in Division 1 will be fierce this season. Will Merritt and Jack Hendy both bagging hat-trick for Intayanan.

DIVISION TWO

In Division 2, Cunning Stunts began the season on a high note by defeating Only Kruls And Horses 3-1. The highest scoring match of the day belonged to this division, where Eze Top 3 managed to outscore Survey Monkeys 10-6. Goals Aloud won a thriller 5-4 against Substandard Liege while new boys Leave My Arcelona won another fantastic game 7-5 against Only Put Matip In, Mckenzie Hughes on fire in this one with 4 of his sides 7 goals.

DIVISION THREE

Division 3 also witnessed an exciting start with Bumfica emerging victorious against The Jefecitos by scoring 4 goals to 1. Expected Toulouse FC narrowly defeated Schofields U15s 3-2 in a nerve-racking match. Rejects FC and Fiorentina Turner provided a high-scoring game, which ended 5-4 in favour of new biys Rejects FC. Kick It In The Net-ics impressed in their game against His Mind, winning 5-1, Angus Baird netting a hat-trick.

The Abingdon Monday League's opening week displayed an impressive level of competition and skill from all teams across the three divisions. With the season just getting started, we look forward to more thrilling matches, extraordinary goals, and spirited competition in the weeks to come. Hopefully the balance in the divisions is about right this season, the opening night certainly showed some evenly contested matches.
