New Abingdon Monday 5 a side season kicks off!

The Abingdon Monday 5-a-side Football League kicked off its latest season with some exhilarating matches across Divisions 1, 2, 3, and 4 this week.

DIVISION ONE

In the top-flight Division 1, The Broad Beans secured a hard-fought victory over 2 In The Pink with a nail-biting scoreline of 6-5. Meanwhile, RP FC showed their prowess against Expected Toulouse FC with a 6-3 win. The highlight of the division was the intense battle between Pathetico Madrid and Pablo Escoballers, where Pathetico emerged victorious with a 2-1 scoreline.

DIVISION TWO

Moving onto Division 2, Tescos Finest proved their dominance with a resounding 8-4 victory over Casuals, while OJ UTD outplayed Cunning Stunts, securing an 8-1 triumph, setting the pace for the rest of the season.

DIVISION THREE

Division 3 saw Xavi Dodgers outscore Hardly Athletic 10-4, while Survey Monkeys edged a close encounter against Klopps And Robbers 5-4. Matty And The Colonisers started their campaign with a comfortable 3-0 win against Ruben Amorimjob.

DIVISION FOUR

Finally, in Division 4, AgeDoesntMata and Bumfica shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, while Optek Utd defeated John Smiths Old Boys 5-2. The standout performance came from Local Benchwarmers who put 11 goals past Kante Be Stopped, finishing with a winning score of 11-3.
