New Abingdon Monday 5 a side season kicks off!

In an electrifying start to the new season of the Abingdon Monday 5-a-side football league, we witnessed high-quality football across all divisions, with teams delivering impressive performances.

DIVISION ONE  

In Division 1, Pablo Escoballers led the pack with an impressive 11-4 victory over The Six Offenders. Their scintillating performance saw them top the chart as the highest scoring team in the division. In another thrilling match, Pathetico Madrid beat Royal Madrid with a scoreline of 5-3. The Broad Beans also started their campaign on a strong note, outplaying Only Put Matip In, with a 4-1 scoreline.

DIVISION TWO

Division 2 saw an equally enthusiastic display of football, with Bud Army edging past OJ UTD in a closely contested match that ended 6-5. Meanwhile, BarcaBoneHer registered a 6-4 win against Sluts And Bolts.

DIVISION THREE

In Division 3, the match of the day was between Tescos Finest and Casuals, where the former eked out a 7-6 victory in a high-voltage game. The division also saw OBC Saints triumphing over His Mind FC with a 5-3 score while Optek Utd and Hardly Athletic shared the points after a 2-2 draw.

DIVISION FOUR

Division 4 was awash with goals as Kante Be Stopped emerged as the highest scorer of the division, registering a stunning 13-6 win over Local Benchwarmers. In other matches, AgeDoesntMata defeated Victor Moses Lawn 4-2, while Bumfica overcame Survey Monkeys 3-1. Finally another tight game saw Ctrl Alt De Ligt register a 4-3 win over Matt and The Colonisers.

As the season has only just begun, these results set an exciting pace for the upcoming weeks. Football enthusiasts can look forward to more thrilling matches as teams vie for the top spot in their respective divisions. With such a start, predicting a clear winner in any division is a tough call. This season promises to be filled with surprises and we cannot wait to see how the tables turn in the coming weeks.
