Relegation Rovers pick up first point at Abingdon 5 a side

27 teams were in attendance last night for match day 2 of our Abingdon Monday 5 a side season at Tilsley Park, Put Matip In will be back in action next week. We do still have space for new teams to join now and jump in for next week. Entry is free until the end of September so just a few days left to take advantage of this offer.

There is a strong line up of teams in the Premier League this season with newly promoted Unprotected Cesc currently leading the way on goal difference after two games. Last night they took on and beat fellow Premier League new boys Abingdonny's 16-6. Sporting Abeergut rose to second after a 8-5 win over new team Unlimited. Cooper's Troopers won a cracking match with Hadland Rovers 5-4 while Fruity Spartans defeated Basically Barca 10-6.

Norfolk N Clue stay top of Div 1 as they beat Poortugal 5-2 while Div 2 champions Ivory Toast also started with two wins as they beat Murder On Zidane's Floor 4-2. FCUOB and Hardly Athletic played each other in a friendly and both pick up points match wins.

In Div 2 Royal Madrid who are fresh from picking up the Div 3 title are now topping Div 2. They followed up their win last week with another, this time defeating The Sticky Bandits 6-2. Substandard Liege won a point match due to Matip being away while Expected Toulouse had a great game with AB's All Whites winning 5-4. In the other fixture Cunning Stunts won 4-3 against Survey Monkey's.

Finally we move into Div 3 where the two leading teams Top Didcot Dawgs and Romania picked up points match wins as they met each other in a friendly. The Reds won their first match of the season with a 8-2 win over Intayanan while their was an excellent first ever point for Relegation Rovers who also play in our Thursday night league, they drew 3-3 with Sporting John, top effort.
